Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation Review!

Hey guys!

I'm back with quite an exciting product to review. You all know how much I love my Urban Decay Naked foundation so I was quite excited when Revlon came out with their very own dupe for the Naked foundation. I believe this is part of their spring 2013 launch. The display for this product has Emma Stone on it in case you guys are wondering.
sorry for the low quality pics, they are just screenshots from my video :P
I found this foundation at my local KMART for 9.99. They are also having a buy one get one 50% off sale so I got the powder from the same line fro $5. I believe this product might be cheaper at Target or Walmart since those retailers do sell this product a little bit cheaper than your local drugstores.

As far as the product itself, I do believe its quite similar to Urban Decay's naked foundation. It is very liquidy in consistency and has medium to full coverage depending on the amount you want to put on your face.

Before
As far as coverage and feel goes it is quite similar to UD. It feels very lightweight on the skin and doesnt look cakey at all. The foundation layers beautifully as well so if you need more coverage you definitely can get that with this foundation.
After
Urban Decay's Naked foundation doesnt include any SPF which makes it quite flash friendly in photos. Revlon's Nearly Naked foundation contains an SPF of 20 which is quite friendly for those of you who are looking for extra sun protection in your foundation. When it comes to flash photography, I dont think it looks quite terrible. The white halo of the SPF is not that noticeable in this pic.

So as my conclusion, I do love this foundation. I love how lightweight this foundation is and how it looks like skin. For 1/3 of the price of the urban decay,  I highly recommend and this does make for a good dupe for Urban Decays naked foundation. :)

Wet n Wild Sparkle 'Til Morning Review and Swatch!

Hello loves!

So Wet n Wild recently released 3 limited edition 8 color eyeshadow palettes for the holidays. The collection is named "Wheres the Party" and features lots of gorgeous colors that would be perfect for this coming holiday parties. I only purchased the Sparkle 'Til morning palette since the other two palettes didnt appeal much to me. One of the eyeshadow palettes in this collection is a rerelease of an eye palette they had last year called "I love Matte" and they have renamed that palette "Drinking a glass of shine", so if you missed that palette now is your chance to get your own. I didnt need to purchase the matte one since I was able to purchase one when they released it last year :)

So here are swatches of the Sparkle 'til Morning:

The eyeshadow palettes retail for about $4.99 a piece. I believe they are available at most drugstores. I bought mine at my local KMart and they are also having a buy 2 get 1 free deal going on so its quite a steal.

As far as the quality of the shadows goes, its a bit of hit and miss. Some of the shades are a lot more pigmented than others. One thing that really got me is that I really loved the name of the palette. It just reminds me of that wonderful magical time of the year so I had to get this palette :P. It would've been nice if this palette came with a stable matte brown eyeshadow cause then this would make an awesome everyday palette as well.

All in all I love this palette and I do recommend you check these eyeshadow palettes out :)

Obsessed! Dainty Heart Forever 21 Necklace

Hey guys!

Just a quick picture post of this cute little heart necklace I recently got from forever 21. The necklace cost only $1.50 and I'm in love with this piece. I love that it is so dainty and has a lovely peach color. The heart itself has little damask print on it which makes it quite unique

Tarte Carried Away Collector's Set Review and Swatches!

I told myself I'm not going to buy any more makeup products but September was such a horrible month for me that I felt I owed myself this little splurge :P. I was sick most of September so I barely had a chance to explore what companies were coming out with for this holiday season. If you're looking to try a certain brand, I think holiday gift sets are the way to go since companies put so many products into these gift sets to get more people exposed to the brands products.

I originally bought the Ulta exclusive Tarte Holiday Palette but then I had to return that one when I discovered this little beauty from sephora...

So heres a review and swatches of my recent obsession which is the Tarte Sephora Exclusive Carried Away Collectors set. I bought this for about $54 at my local Sephora and its available on the sephora website.
First of all, lets talk about the packaging. I think Tarte did a really good job putting this palette together this year. The collection comes in a cute three fold makeup bag. The design for the bag reminds me of art products from India or something of the sort with the bright gold and purple accents to it.
So as you can see, the bag comes with 2 side zippered pockets, a mirror in the middle where the eyeshadow palette slot lies.

In this set you get 8 mini sizes of their newly released Maracuja lipglosses, a blush brush,
a mini amazonian clay finishing powder, a mini amazonian clay blush in Adventurous, a mini sized lights camera lashes mascara, and last but not the least the eyeshadow palette that comes with 24 full sized eyeshadows.

Pictures of the product size comparisons and swatches of the products below:

compared to the size of Urban Decay Naked Palette

compared to the size of the 15 eyeshadow MAC palette

The lip glosses are quite cute and handy to have. They are a tiny bit smaller than a regular lipstick bullet which makes it perfect for a tiny clutch for touch ups on the go. As far as colors all of them are quite wearable, half of them have a tiny bit shimmer while the other half is just a creamy color. As far as the feel of the lipglosses, they are quite minty at first application and I don't find them too sticky. The color pay off for these glosses is quite decent and I'm really happy this set comes with 8 of them :)

The blush and eyeshadows are pretty awesome as well.  I love how pigmented and flattering the blush is on me. I dont find it too shimmery which is also a plus. The eyeshadows go on nicely and they have decent pigmentation. Tarte's eyeshadows are a little shearer in application compared to MAC or Urban Decay eyeshadows so just a fair warning so you're not too disappointed if thats what you are looking for.

All in all I do recommend this product. This set is an awesome value and if you're new to Tarte this would make an awesome starter set.

I hope this helps!

Lorac Pro Palette Review and Swatch!

Hey guys!

Long time no post :P I know I've been way behind on my blog but November is a new month and I plan on doing better with updating this blog with product reviews and more.

For this post I will be reviewing the Lorac Pro Palette.

I've been itching to get my hands on this palette and I've finally gotten a chance to get my hands on this lovely baby. This eyeshadow palette retails for $42 and is available at Sephora or at your local Ulta.

I know this is another neutral palette but theres nothing wrong with getting another one to your collection especially if its this pretty right?

The eyeshadows are very pigmented and so soft and creamy. These eyeshadows may give you some fall out so be careful since these eyeshadows and very creamy so be sure to to tap your eyeshadow brush before you apply the product because you will likely experience some fall out.

I created a Day to Night look below using this eyeshadow palette :)

Maybelline Color Tattoo vs. L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow

Hey everyone!

I wanted to give a quick review and comparison of the Maybelline color tattoos and the L'oreal infallible eyeshadows. I didnt buy the entire army of them, just the ones that I would be using on a daily basis.

For the Maybelline color tattoos, I purchased the colors in bad to the bronze, tough as taupe and too cool. These colors make for an amazing eyeshadow base. The most used of the three for me is bad to the bronze because you can wear it alone and its a gorgeous color in itself. As far as staying power, these are actually quite crease proof for being a cream (gel) product. I got mine for a pretty good deal at ulta since they were on a bogo deal and Ulta usually has a printable coupon for $3.50 off of $10 so I got two of them for $6.99. I definitely recommend these products!

For the L'oreal infallible eyeshadows, they are quite different from the color tattoos. They are actually more like wet eyeshadows while the color tattoos are more creamy. The colors are quite vibrant and beautiful. For the price, they are about the same as the color tattoos and you can usually catch them on bogo deals as well. I recommend this as well!

Enjoy the pic swatches :D

Physicians Formula Blush Review: Happy Booster Warm and Natural

Hey guys!

I've been meaning to post a review and swatch of a couple of Physicians formula happy booster blushes that I own. I got the colors in Natural and Warm. I got mine at Ulta on a bogo deal which was quite awesome!

L to R: Warm, Natural

The packaging is definitely eye catching and super cute! The blushes have embossed hearts all over and it came in a hot pink case. The packaging is quite bulky but I dont really mind since it is still super cute!

As for the blushes, they are very pigmented!! The natural and warm shade work very well with the warm undertones of my skin. The natural blush has a little bit of a sheen while the warm shade is a little bit more on a matte side. I love them both equally and would definitely recommend it to you guys!
