NARS 'Voulez Vous' Cheek & Eye Palette (Nordstrom Exclusive) Review and Swatches!

*insert Christina aguilera's wailing......voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir...ummm lady marmalade anyone? :P

Leave it Nars to come up with another provocative name to market its product. I am an avid drugstore collector and this is palette is definitely a splurge for me! As my very FIRST Nars product purchase (Nars virgin..haha!), I think I may have done very well especially if you see what this palette contains :)

- Eyeshadow in Molokaï (0.03 oz.).

- Eyeshadow in LHASA (0.03 oz.).
- Blush in Deep Throat (0.15 oz.)

 Can you tell I'm slightly overly excited about this palette?!?  

Heres a size comparison to the Urban Decay Naked palette

Swatches from Left to right: Deep throat blush, Dolce Vita blush, Eyeshadows: I have no clue which one is which! it doesnt say on the box :(

I tried finding a dupe but nothing was really close to anything. The one shadow that was closest to the matte light brown in the palette is Naked from UD and Brown from Nyx.

For the eyeshadows I think all of them have good pigmentation. I love how this palette included a nice bright highlight and a matte light brown for blending. As far as the name, I'm not really sure which ones which since the box or the back of the packaging said specifically which ones which.

I believe all of the shadows are limited edition colors (I lied they're not! lol :P). The highlight shade is very similar to Stilas kitten but is a smidgen warmer, but not too noticeable. The light brown shade is similar to Naked from Urban decay. As far as the gunmetal color, nothing really came close to it. The color is a unique bluish purplish gray. As far as the brown one, the closest I can find is Stila's Fig eyeshadow.

Nars is well known for their blushes so I dont really think I need to talk any more about that :P

Final thoughts:
If you're familiar with Nars product prices, I think this product for $59 is definitely worth it! As a Nars virgin, I think this palette is definitely an awesome starter to the brand. Not only do you get 2 of their famous blushes, you also get 4 eyeshadow colors! All in all I think this palette is a definite must have for all makeup lovers!

M.A.C. 'Illustrated' Face Kit (Brown) (Nordstrom Exclusive) Review and Swatches!

First I would like to say Happy early birthday to meee!!! If you havent met anyone who would greet themselves a very early happy birthday, then you have might have just found the very first one.

In celebration of my very early birthday, Ive decided to spoil myself a wee bit and bought a couple of beauty exclusive products available at Nordstrom for their anniversary sale. The item I shall be talking about in this post is the M.A.C. illustrated face kit in brown.

Heres a brief description of what the set contains from Nordstrom.com click!
A special-edition fabric-wrapped compact features exclusive illustrations by witty fashion designer, Rebecca Moses.

Kit includes:
- Powder Blush in Melba (0.18 oz.): a soft coral-peach.
- Satin Eyeshadow in Orb (0.03 oz.): a soft peachy satin.
- Veluxe Pearl Eyeshadow in All That Glitters (0.03 oz.): a beige with gold tones.
- Satin Eyeshadow in Smoked Sepia (0.03 oz.): a rich brown.
- Matte Eyeshadow in Showstopper (0.03 oz.): a dark brown.
- Cremesheen Lipstick in Ravishing Clean (0.018 oz.): a light peachy coral.
- Satin Lipstick in Myth Light (0.018 oz.): a neutral nude.
- Duo brush with 275 SE Medium Angled Shading Brush and 316 SE Lip Brush.

If you are a practical makeup user, or someone who doesnt collect M.A.C. products, then this kit would be a dream for you as it is for me! I find M.A.C. to be a wee bit pricey so when they put together palettes and face kits like this I get oooooberly excited!!!

I love that this palette is travel friendly and it isn't so thick! I think! I'm in love!

The eyeshadows, the blush and the lipsticks definitely have awesome pigmentation. I think the sheerest of the eyeshadows in this kit is showstopper, the dark brown but definitely can be buildable.

Overall I think this kit is absolutely beautiful especially for someone on the go! For $49 I think you definitely get your moneys worth especially if you dont own a lot of mac makeup products. A lot of people have loads of M.A.C. products so you might just pass on these colors since they might already be in your collection.

This kit is also available in plum which I dont have in hand since I wont be getting that one till my actual birthday in August lol :P

Broadway Nails imPress on Nail Manicure Review and Application

 Greetings from Florida! :D

Since I'm on vacation for a week I figured it'd be a perfect time to try and review a couple of products I've brought with me. This review is for the broadway nails impress on nail manicure I received on my spring fever voxbox from influenster.

Would you believe me if I told you I haven't had my nails done professionally in a nail salon, EVER!? haha yes. I'm one of those weird people who like to do everything themselves..like cutting hair and doing nails. In high school I used to apply fake nails using nail glue since that was the only thing I could afford. Later on I graduated to using acrylic, the one with the stinky solution and I actually got pretty decent in doing that haha! :P

I've always been curious about fast and easy solutions especially for people on the go who don't really have the money or time to spend on getting a professional manicure.

Enter the imPress on nails...

This particular one I received from Influenster is apparently a part of Nicole Scherzinger signature series as it says on the box. I'm not familiar how many colors or styles are in the collection but I do love the hot shade I got from my box.

I have always been curious about the packaging of these fake nails since a lot more companies are packaging fake nails this way. I like how this comes in a plastic bottle since u can actually store your nails back in the packaging if you plan on reusing? it maybe. It just makes sense to make it look like a nail polish bottle.

The application of the product is actually quite easy and mess free. The only thing that really took time in doing this is finding the right size of the nail to match your own natural nails. From the batch I got, I actually wasnt able to find a good match for my pinky nail since its an in between size. You get a total of 24 nails in the bottle which could mean you can have 2 sessions of the this bottle if they all match you...maybe???

As you can see from the picture above, the nail itself has a little plastic tab you take off to reveal the sticky glue part of the nail. You press it on to your natural nail, then you're good to go. It was really fast and I think this would be awesome for someone who is a hurry and doesn't have any time at all to paint or get your nails done.

As far as lasting power, its supposed to last a week and can be easily removed using acetone to soften the glue. I will update you guys on this claim given my week here on vacation :)

Influenster Spring Fever Voxbox!

 Hey guys!!

So excited to share with you guys my first ever Voxbox from influenster! Below is the postcard of all the items I received on this box :)

If you're not familiar with Influenster, they are a company that serve as the middle men between commercial companies and direct active consumers who like to voice out their honest opinions on recent product launches. They either introduce new items that companies are coming out with or create a "buzz" on something new and exciting about a product thats about to hit stores. You can also review multiple products on the website that can be helpful to a fellow consumer who is checking out the same product :)

OSIS 24Hr Volume Effect Dust it Texture
 A lot of hair companies are coming out with this powder form hair volumizer. I have yet to try this product but will definitely keep you guys updated on how this product works. I also recently received something similar to this from Big Sexy Hair from my Ipsy subscription, so I definitely will compare the two when I get a chance to use this.

 TastyKake Kandy Bar KaKes
Doesn't this look delicious????? Well it is!!!! If you were looking for a quick comfort food on the go, you have found it in this delicious bar. I wouldn't say this is the healthiest snack food choice, but definitely something worth mooning over. One "Kake" bar is about 260 calories with 9grams of fat. We all have our cheat days, so I think this definitely is worth storing in your pantry.

Super excited to try this product!!! I love the color I got and if this really lasts a week, its definitely worth a try. I'm going on vacation next week so I'll definitely test this out if it lasts a week. Will keep you guys updated if this product really works =)

Secret Outlast Completely Clean Clear Gel Antiperspirant
I've always been a Dove deodorant girl so I'm definitely intrigued if this product lives up to the "no white residue" promise. It also promises 48hr protection so well see if this product will really do that.

 NYC Applelicious Glossy Lip Balm
I already had this product in a different shade so I already know that I'm going to love this product. This lip balm smells soooooo delicious it'll make you smell you mouth and you may catch yourself making "piggy" faces. The shade I got in Big apple red is quite pigmented too!
